Other than a lack of directional shadowmaps and annoying HDR, it's still a strong representative of Source. Source's unique characteristics are:
- havok physics, cylinder arm human ragdolls
- sharpen filter applied on compressed textures
- long load times
- ttf font rendering abuse on EVERYTHING including HUD weapon graphics
- Software sound processing DSP with reverb and echo based on trigger (No one EVER mentions this!) Goldsrc had it too
Whenever I tried to run that stress test on my computer it would totally glitch out, but it runs games perfectly.
This is what I call the SOURCE ENGINE!
How will we get this updated gfx of source ?
