Developer Frima Studio has revealed the launch trailer for its debut virtual reality adventure, Fated. An episodic game based upon Norse mythology, Fated follows a family who must find a new home after theirs is destroyed by dark forces.
The trailer shows glimpses of first-person horse riding, exploration in dark caverns, and familial bonding around a campfire. The first episode, The Silent Oath, puts you in control of "an everyday father and husband must do the impossible to save his family from the destruction of the world at the hands of giants of old."
Fated runs on Unreal Engine 4, and will be coming to the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive on April 28. The game will also be available for PlayStation VR later in the year, after that hardware launches in October.
