Dear prospective Modeler/Level Designer,

We are looking for experienced modelers and (unity) level designers able to help sculpt our vision of Espial. The bulk of the modelling right now will be on ships and architectural components for modular buildings. (There are plenty of opportunities for all sorts of modelling work so don't hesitate to contact us if what was mentioned isn't your thing)

As for the level designing the majority of the work will be on forming prefabs in Unity (5.6) that we can distribute procedurally through out the ocean world. This will mainly be things like small villages and ruins that we can attach relevant story/resource components to. There is also an opportunity to work on a large static map but this is yet to be finalized.

The Game:

Espial

It is a fantasy-medieval MMORPG based in a fictional world. The best description of the game would be Maritime exploration meets classic RPG, It is our hope the game will be a unique experience for each player. A Partially procedural generated world for the player to sail, gather resources, build their fortune and construct their items. Though the game could be compared to a high-fantasy setting, it does not employ all the same races of similar games. The story could be compared to an Albion (Fable) esque world.

The game follows a decision based story in which the players will complete the initial main quest line and based on the decisions they make in the ending sequences changes how the story of Espial evolves. The game it self is largely a maritime based exploration game that will involve dynamic fights with various creatures whether at sea or ashore with most the typical components of an MMORPG we have come to love.

Funding situation:

For now this is for the hobbyist designers and artists looking to have some fun or build a portfolio, we are currently applying for funding from various sources, with the possibility of a crowd funding campaign should we deem it ready for such exposure. This means a rev share is possible in the future (this can be discussed at any time) Although we have planned out the way we will likely be monetizing the game. We are also pursuing a few publishing opportunities we came across on our travels to various different gaming festivals this summer where we have been running booths. We are a remote team, communicating with the majority of the team over the internet via Discord (as well as some other social media platforms). This has proven a challenge in the past, though we believe we have overcome this issue, by providing consistent management and leading by example, it is our hope that anyone looking to join the team finds it as rewarding an experience as we do.
