Post news Report RSS Big showcase opportunity for jME3 projects in prototype stage

Hey developers, what'chu been working on? If you happen to prefer working in the cover of darkness until you can slay all your enemies with a single strike––DANGER! The jMonkeyEngine 3.0 Stable release is edging ever closer. As is jMonkey tradition, our release announcement will come with a kick-ass promotional video [1] [2] [3] [4].

For all you monkeys tirelessly developing that special something, this is a unique opportunity for you to get a snapshot of your work showcased in what will no doubt become a historic announcement for the jMonkeyEngine project.

What we need from you

  1. Record a 15 second .avi video - We recommend the Simple Way; no audio required.
  2. Make it 720p (1280x720 pixels). No more, no less.
  3. Send a message to contact@jmonkeyengine.org titled "jME3 Promo: {YourProject}" following the template below.

Please include:

  • Your real name (full name optional).
  • Your forum nickname.
  • Your project's name.
  • Your project's status (prototyping, pre-alpha, alpha etc.)
  • 3 pictures depicting your progress thus far.

Once we've received your e-mail, we'll send you back the passcode* enabling you to upload your video files to our server.

Note: All levels of completion accepted. Not every submission is guaranteed an appearance in our video, but we love hearing about developers making something new with our engine, even if all you've got to show for it so far is a moving dot. Nothing is set in stone yet, but the rough plan is to showcase a handful of games already late in development, followed by a "speedreel" of several prototypes.

* To upload your file, please use the upload form in the original announcement.

Thanks!
