Job Simulator, one of the pack-in launch titles included with the HTC Vive – and also one of the funniest VR games on the system – is getting a pseudo-sequel in the form of a licensed Rick and Morty game. Called Rock and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rickality, the game appears to use a similar setup to Job Simulator by giving you lots of objects to interact with in first-person in hilarious ways.

Its developer, Owlchemy Labs, is bringing Rick and Morty Simulator to San Diego Comic Con this week, July 21 – 24. Apart from the footage in the brief teaser video above, not much is known about how the game actually plays, but the press release provides a small hint:

Owlchemy Labs’ Alex Schwartz explains more in an interview with Polygon:

“The game takes place in Rick’s garage, and instantly you would associate all the things that are great about Job Simulator, all the near-field interactions ... Rick’s garage is filled with tons of stuff to play with. Chemistry sets and just boxes of things on the shelves. Elements from the show. It’s fully crammed in there."

Apparently the game isn’t entirely confined to Rick’s garage; you’ll be able to jump through portals to visit new areas, all seamlessly and while being able to see through the portal to the other side. Though there’s no release date for Rick and Morty Simulator just yet, it’s likely we’ll here more when Comic Con kicks off later this week.
