The project started expanding more than a VR Tour to Vortex Rickers
there are 3 levels so far that can be visited in the demonstration and more are going to be released
this update is about enhancing more the Unreal Intro level by adding animated and static meshes also making minor changes to lighting to come a step close to the original.

You can´t imagine my reaction when I saw this video on youtube...always looking for a new remake of unreal 1 , the best game ever .I´m not playing games since years ago , still in love with Unreal 1 ...with the stupid hope of seeing a remake of unreal 1 with u4 ...I saw just the intro remake in UE4 , but man... I don´t know how...because every some weeks I come back to internet... with that ilusion ...and when your video started on youtube...THE FREE MOVEMENT IN VR , WITH THAT GRAPHICS , THE LASERS ,THE MUSIC...I WAS NOT SURE WHAT I WAS SEEING... I WOULD PAY 300$ FOR THIS GAME , after 20 years exactly , to relive the best ******* experiencie in a videogame , HOLY **** , you can´t imagine my feelings and my emotion now.I repeat , YOU ARE GOD .

Many years ago I wrote a t3d->vrml conversion tool, so you could view Unreal game levels online in 3D (using a VRML player). I probably still have a lot of that code, which parses t3d files. You can think of them as JSON files but differently formatted. Anyway, if there is a more modern spec for t3d or other format that UE4 can ingest, it might be easy to just do that.
My code took lighting, animation, sounds, some effects, some triggers, lots of stuff.

also check ue4 it has incredible capabilities building WebGL
i have already wrote a converter for t3d for ue1->ue4 conversions thats why the levels are 1:1 but if you want why dont you publish your code on github it will be interesting
kwstasg this is AMAZING! Unreal 1998 is my favorite game of all time, walking through Vortex Rikers was a dream come true! It's so absolutely immersive and beautiful, the guns are brilliant! Please keep this project going, I will tell as many people as I know about it.
What a shame you guys suddenly stopped working on these. No explanation why no update or anything just leaving us with blue balls but oh well its safe to assume this is cancelled.
