This looks amazing! Sad that I can't play it though. Good work!
First of all, make a constant locomotion.
Second - make representable HUG for inventory/status.
Third - if you gonna add zombies, lock them to 2 positions - Stand/Crouch. Otherwise the meta will go even deeper than that of Lunge+Jump+Crouch+Spin+... and will have body jiggling while doing all of this.
4th - re-design movement. The zombies are too fast for a pvp. I mean, player could use this advantage to go in and kill whole team of survivors alone as whitey without even using Lunge, if it was normal ZP!:S.

Yeah, zombies are move so fast, I was already fix it (but it is only npc, not player).
About the inventory/status - I want to make it more realistic and unusually. I'm already have idea too, but dont have time to make it now (it's will avaliable soon).
By the way, it's only pre-pre...-pre alpha :D , and everyday I'm fix some bugs, add something new and trying to make this game more realistic and similar to the original mod.
Will gameplay be close to actual ZP!:S or you will take your own path?
I'd advice doing it 2 way - this way you'd atleast have a way of fixing stuff in a kinda "VR way" rather than trying to copy an already bad design.
Gameplay will be not close the original mod, cause it's VR and need to make it more realistic, interesting and special. But basic idea will be from original (do objectives, kill zombies, survive). For now project only develops and many things can change.
Will you still be able to build barricades? That was cool
Of course barricades will be available soon. For now I've first prototype of this (I'll upload video soon)...
