Possibly, you have noticed the extended amount of silence regarding Fifth Column. And to tell you the truth, this is hardly a coincidence: The subject matter of Fifth Column was perhaps a genuine cause for concern, in that it may have attracted political attention from those who take active interest in the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the context of which Fifth Column takes place, at least in part.
Fifth Column however did yield something already: Aside from a gameplay demo, the road towards Fifth Column yielded narrative inspiration for Total Rendition. In many ways, the intended gameplay, tone, atmosphere and most importantly, message of political consciousness make Total Rendition very much like Fifth Column.
Now, if you were wondering "what happens to Fifth Column?", the answer has to be that at the moment, Total Rendition is of a far higher priority than Fifth Column is. Total Rendition and Fifth Column each give their own perspective to the world which is different yet mutually reinforcing. Right now, however, Total Rendition's perspective is simply the more timely one.
To conclude, it's only done when it's done!
