Christmas Concept Art And Updates
I've just uploaded a few of the older OverDose concept art images. These are from back in the day mostly when OverDose was named "Quake II Evolved: OverDose". As you know, Team Blur Games made the Quake 2 source port "Quake II Evolved", which added a heck of a lot of stuff to the game to make it shine just a little brighter. It was around that time we wanted to make a single player expansion, and thats when OverDose was born. Keep checking the concept art that I'll be uploading over the next few days, some of it is really retro stuff and a lot of it is new, never seen before images!
As for OverDose's latest tool, ODRadiant, well... Its damn awesome. Really guys, work is going so smooth on it now, its just fantastic to use, very fast, very easy, and whats best is it works with OverDose... Exactly what we all wanted. I don't know when I'll get the first version of it out to you all, but trust me, as soon as I can... I will ;)
Oh yeah, and if I don't speak to you all before then... have a great Christmas!
Pretty detailed sketches.
I like.

Wow! People are still making mods for this game? Really wish I still had it :(
I wouldn't call it a mod, tbh. They should change their profile to indie game.
When I made the page, some guy from ModDB emailed me and told me to remake the entire thing under the mods section, because only fullscale games that are planning on going retail should be under the "games" section.
So yeah, I fully agree, but if I didn't put it here, I couldn't have it on ModDB. I agree its stupid, but what can I do...
Doesn't make much sense, tbh. Tremulous, Warsow, Nexuiz, Alien Arena, WoP... all of them are listed as indie games and Overdose clearly belongs to that list. Maybe the difference is that all of them have releases, and maybe what you should do is changing the profile when you do the first release.
Nope. I have a feeling they simply cocked up, and didn't want to admit it. ModDB is run very oddly at times. I've had emails telling me I wasn't allowed to post news, because it would take away the shine from OTHER game news...? What? Its news lol...
But yeah, I'll get in touch with them and ask them to move it to the proper section. Trouble is I dont know if they can.
I'm sure they can.
It really goes down to if the project is ran from another game or if its done through a standalone launch.
I couldn't tell you the difference between Indie and Standalone to be honest.
Well, they applied the indie tag to every free-standalone project when they changed the website. All of them were just standalone before. Now are listed as indie games.
I miss the old website a lot, tbh. It used to be entertaining to visit the frontpage every day to see news and screenies. I don't do that anymore.
