This link will give you access to the main OverDose website where all the news gets posted first, as well as access to the [TBG] forums, which we think of as kind of our "EXTRA!" area. We post a lot of development junk, pictures and info in there that doesn't make it to the main sites, so if you want first hand access to the inner workings of OverDose, get your filthy mitts on a forum account and get posting!
[TBG] On The Newb Review Podcast!
Sorry I never got around to posting this sooner, a few things stood in the way. You can now hear myself talking about OverDose a little on the Newb Reviews Podcast, as well as other things and general banter. If this one sounds a little more “go with it” than usual it’s because these guys are friends. Click on the logo below to visit the site!
[TBG] In Need Of Character Animators!
As you know, we currently have several character models completed and fully rigged ready for animation. This is proving to be a hassle as we don’t currently have anybody who is up to the task of animating them, sadly. Like I said, these are fully completed models that are rigged and ready to go, they just need animations.
The reason I’m posting this is that OverDose finally added its own complete animation sub-system that allows us to do pretty much anything we want animations wise, and we need some new animations to test the animation blending with. So even if you feel you may only be able to help out with a few, that may be enough to get us off the ground.
Remember, the sooner the characters are animated, the sooner we get a playable beta out.
If this sounds up your street as something you could manage, let me know. You can contact me on various ways:

Here's some useful links to OverDose:

And a few shots of the game:
And of course, a few videos as well:
(More videos and pics on the web sites)
Well like I said, if this sounds like something you could handle then by all means get in touch. OverDose has a hard time finding members to help with its quite large work load for some reason, but we won't be going anywhere.
Thanks guys.
Awesome just awesome!
even when the videos are old and i knew them, I still alwaays think "wow" and... so still i just can write "wow" because I am out of word *-* I wish you good luck with your search.
Looks great! I would love to animate for you guys. Sadly, I am a mere novice when it comes to animating. Oh well, back to practicing.
How in the world have you got such good professional quality graphics out of a Quake II engine 0.0 ?
they probably only used Quake 2 as the base for their engine, and then heavily expanded it :)
Quake 2 as a base, of course. Same way Rage is the Quake 1 engine really, its just updated over the years.
Anyway back on topic, there has to be some people willing to help? ATM, we STILL can't get any help. Nobody wants to bother, sadly, and what help we do get goes AWOL for no reason and leaves stuff half finished, so I'm telling everybody now this FACT...
If we don't get help that can actually do something within say, the next month, we are pulling the plug on the whole project. It’s as simple as that, sadly. We just aren’t anywhere we want to be with this, and that’s because the ratio of people moaning at us to people helping is 100,000:1.
Sucks... But it’s true :( I hope the next post I make is about how well things are going, rather than us closing shop.
reallly? thats quite sad to hear :{
this is one of the few Indie Games ive seen that looks and feels like a AAA Project to me :O
You should try and post on the forum section of the site, as it may help greatly (not everyone views the front page/article section).
I also cant see any OverDose threads (atm) on any Artist sites, so try on there! A few ones i know off:
CGArtist
CGHub
Game-Artist.net
BlenderArtists
PolyCount
You guys clearly have something excpetional going, so I would hate to see it go to waste.
You should also consider taking the Project forward to a Publisher.
PS: maybe people are just scared to apply, because they think their skills are not good enough. Like I said, it looks like something that belongs on a Shelf, which might actually put people off from applying xD
Anyway, hope my post as somehow helped :)
Gav, stop being such a moaning minnie.. :p
I can haz a moan :(
It's like having sex with jessica alba and then having Justin Beiber as a kid and nor being able to do anything about it :(
