Once again the Narrator has emerged from the shadows with a new video! This time he responds to an enthusiastic fan's email, and offers an update on the Stanley Parable: HD Remix.
I won't spam you with any more of these updates, but I do want to let you know that the Narrator is taking your questions and may respond to them in future videos updated on this youtube channel. If you've got a burning question that you absolutely need the answer to, feel free to send it to askthenarrator@gmail.com. Keep in mind we DO reserve the right to back out of that pledge if your questions totally suck.
Today is also a special day because it's the 1 year anniversary of the release of the original Stanley Parable! Hooray! I send all my love and gratitude to everyone who's supported the game and I look forward to many happy years to come!
Haha Epic!
now that was just hilarious!
I love this. And so don't want to be Raphael.
I don't think even Raphael wants to be Raphael anymore.
Was that an actual update?
That was brilliant!!!!
This is gold
OH MY GOD I WAS SQUEEING SO HARD I
HNNNNG I CAN'T WAIT
That was brilliant.
hah, awesome response
I cant wait to finally have MOOORRE choices, and EMOTIONS, I think I'll play out my real life in a video game, omg that would be so great!
on a real note, cant wait for the real final product
Awesome!
The narrator's impression of Raphael sounds like Clavicus Vile's voice from Skyrim.
Often I feel the emotions of mustache, orange, and emotionless.
I'm up for the Raphael challenge. xD
I have litterally played *almost* every important first person game since DOS. There are many iconic video game characters (for lack of a better term), but the narrator is quickly becoming my favorite of all time. In a way he is like the new Glados, but even better in that he is interacting with the fans in the real world with these videos.
(I say "for lack of a better term" because the narrator truly derserves a better title than "video game character" I am just too tired right now to think of a better description)
I really can't even comminucate how much I like the Stanley parable, and the narrator. I would honestly say that everyone should buy half-life 2 JUST to play this mod. The game itself is nothing compared to the stanley parable.
While I agree with Stanley Parable being an amazing mod, I don't think it'd be fair to compare the two games. Obviously of different genres and playing styles, HL2 is more focused around action and SP more around story telling and decision making. Both do what they do very well.
HL2 is a good game. But action based games are a dime a dozen, and half-life 2 is by no means the best in that category. In contrast, the Stanley Parable has created a category of its own. It is unique.
On top of that, the narrator is now interacting with the real world in a way by creating these videos and responding to fans.
They had created the narrator to be "that guy" which everyone wants to hear more from. And they have TONS of advertising potential if the Stanley Parable did something like Old Spice did with answering tweets.

Does The Narrator have a twitter? (one in character)
That would be most interesting to see. I love breaking the fourth wall.
******* incredible video.
This is LITERALLY the best thing ever! XD
Hilarious :D Raphael must feel so silly now.
Obviously not, he'll wait for release date announcement date for his own game.
That will be emotional.
Someone said to me laughter is the best to start the day, so thx for this video.
We NEED a Raphael hardcore mode.
This video is absolutely hilarious. I hope you truly touched Raphael and his big, emotional heart that normally only a woman would harbour.
Amazing.
You guys...
You are ******* geniouses.
feel free to spam with more news like this :P
Yes narrator I am pausing the video to read this entire list. XD
You, are a *******, genious.
Brilliant. The first video had me interested in the redux - this did it for me.
Apply cold water to burned area!
This is the greatest video of all time.
LOL! I love this response, that's our Narrator! <3 "Stanley was fat and ugly, and addicted to drugs and hookers!"
I think he misses the point of the story. To me, a large portion of the story seems to be about the illusion of free will in video games, and pointing out the fact that no matter what path (Other than quitting) you take, it is one that was designed for you.
hah, infinite trolling by a developer
I wish every game had narrator... Unreal tournament 3, Dead space, MINECRAFT!!!, DOOM .... And so on.
UT3 does have a narrator :s
Haha, what the hell.. that was amazing. NarratorĀ“s so great.
I definitely saw "Clive Owens" in the list of emotions. Good game. You win.
I am almost crying with laughter. This was fantastic!
"ghost of a dream of a memory of a cyborg warrior trying to find his dead wife inside a poem"
Nice
Orange is my favorite emotion now!
Well played! Raphael shouldn'talk much to girls, even though he's partly emotional himself. Also, I'm amazed he actually got right to the point of what makes Stanley Parable unique - you can't change anything, you can chose to try - and chose to neglect that as "boring".
I am amused by both, the game and its reactions. Good reply! I wish I could come up with a burning question as funny, but when it's not genuine, it won't cause this effect.
1) list comes
2) press space
- dead except for your knees
- alive but with no knees
- alive but with only knees
- are you seriously pausing the video to read this entire list?
Brillant. Just brillant.
******* brilliant
raFAIL
A stunning performance, good sir. I sincerely and humbly applaud you.
i have a bonner
is that normal?
.... was this video also some kind of rick-roll or trolling attempt from the developer? This video was rather confusing at the earlier parts..... :(
