Leslie Nielsen, a very talented actor with initially vast unknown comedic talent, has died. Airplane!, the first time he acted in a comedic role, is one of my all time favorite movies. Leslie was one of the very few masters of timing and dead pan delivery, and I will forever love his work.
I’d love to see a remake of the “…and don’t call me Shirley” scene, starring Bill Murray and Dan Akroyd.
I wouldn't feel right not posting this. The above comment is not from me, but from Notch.
to admins: feel free to archive it. I just cannot justify leaving this post/merging it in a weeks time.
I personally loved this actor's work too. he was one of the funniest people I've seen in movies. he will surely be missed by nearly everyone.
I just watched Airplane! (called "Fasten your seatbelts, please!" in Czech) today, before I even knew he died. What a coincidence.
:(
I'm gonna go on a Leslie frenzy now, watch many of his movies, starting Airplane!
The naked gun and spy hard (he did play also in this, right?) were pure awesome :)
This is the first death I've actually cared about in a long time. For once, the world has lost a great and irreplaceable talent.
When Justin Bieber dies, the world will lose an easily replacable 4 year old girl who's parents need to learn "Justin" is not short for "Justina".
You just had to post that didn't you -_-
same :/
//aff where supposed to be reply to SteveZombie -.-
Just remove your comment and re-comment to him.
T-T
"Dracula: Dead and Loving It" was one of my favourite movies, as was Airplane!, and some others I can't remember. :(
"Who are you! and how did you get in here!"
"I am a locksmith, and... I'm a locksmith"
Oh, how we'll miss such great humor :(
:'( He will be remembered
my god, he was one of the few comedic actors that still have his touch even at 84. he will be remembered forever :'(
No! He'll still be making people laugh for years to come.
