You can now pre-order Machinarium and you will be sent the download link with the final version of the game as soon as it's officially released (which is planned for October 2009).
Pre-ordering has several advantages:
- You'll save $3. The price is now $17 instead of $20 after releasing.
- You will immediately receive "Pre-order Pack" which includes 5 hi-res pictures and 5 MP 3 tracks from Machinarium Soundtrack.
- With the game you will get also Machinarium Soundtrack by Floex.
- You will feel great by supporting indie developers;)
needs to be on steam!!
yes it does!
(buried)
No, needs to be on Impulse.
Why not both? The more, the merrier!
Yeah it does, I understand that it takes money away from the actual devs but it is much easier to use for the buyer and a crazy amount of people who haven't heard of it will buy it.
wow this looks awesome! i looove artistic style of it all!
Absolutly beautifull style. Hope this game will be as good as it seems to be.
I need to learn the estimated play time.
WOW! This looks incredible.
But you guys should try and get this on Impulse, Steam, and Direct2Drive!!
I'll totally buy this from Impulse. Actually, I'll probably buy this from where ever.
Holly crap!
Guys, put it on as many distribution platforms as possible. Seriously.
Haha that's really nice, the art work is top notch.
Machinarium will be on Impulse, Steam, Direct2Drive and GamersGate but hey, buy it from it's official web (www.machinarium.com) when it's released.
this is great, i am so getting this. :-)
I really would like an estimated playtime for this game, all new game developers skip the "estimated playtime" information. If I were to buy this game for like $20 and the game only would last like 2 hours I'd be mighty dissapointed.
but the game is looking awesome, really nicely done, it's eyecandy :)
it's very difficult to estimate play-time, but it should be around 7-10 hours.
Beautiful o_o
Please, steam it.
I cant use my card on anything but steam and i want a copy !
Needs to be downloadable
Looks creepy.... Not going to get this one O_O
This game is truly amazing, what makes that fact that is commercial even more sad. but the a price of 20 Bucks is to high I'm not going to buy it :)
...You won't pay $20 for a game you consider to be truly amazing? What do you play? Free flash games I suspect :p
That makes no sense...
The style is amazing, cant wait to play it!
This game is beautiful. I will buy it for sure.
I agree, 20 is a bit steep.
I paid that much for the boxed copy of World of Goo and I was kind of disappointed and I am not even sure that this game is as long and fulfilling of 20 dollars worth.
It still looks awesome nonetheless.
Eh, put it on Steam and I'll consider buying it.
On the inverse, keep it away from steam and i'll have a go.
Why? Don't like giving a game to a much wider audience thus increasing sales? Makes sense to me.
A) Devs get less of each games value. Indi devs need money, not steam.
B) Steam is a money *****, backed with a terrible community with horribly immature crowds (not speaking of all steam communities, but the majority)
C) Metascore is FOS and doesn't help the sales when half the reviewers are good at manipulating English, but not rating a game fairly
D) One would have to run a process ***** in the background and be constantly connected to the internet in order to play the game, unless you want to use the uberglitch known as offline mode.
Sorry, I'm with calmflow on this one.
Not sure why I am getting involved in this but I would like it to go to as many distros as possible. This is purely my opinion:
A. Even though they may get less money per sale for steam sales that is mostly sales to people who would never have bought or even heard of the game before. Its worth the cut in profit for the extra amount of sales.
B. Well that is your opinion but really doesn't reflect anything about the sales of this game.
C. Not many gamers go by the metascore, if there is a demo and some good front page ads then people will buy it because the style is very striking and eye catching.
D. Offline has worked fine for me in the past when needed and the steam app is very light on my PC at least.
Again not trying to be an *** but just speaking my opinion on the whole online distro thing ;)
Either way this game looks amazing and will surely sell well in whatever fashion. Good work devs!
Looks well suited to the ds. I'd def buy it for the ds.
This is nothing but awesome. I will definitely pay $20 bucks that would otherwise go to redbull or a few tanks of gas :P
Great job, guys
I love the art, what kind's of art is this?
Halve the price and I would buy it. You can get way too many good games with tons of replay for $20 or under.
love how the game looks and sounds like a good price.
