Without further ado, here it is:
Party of Sin Preview Trailer (New!) - Indie DB
We're pretty happy with this one. In his article on Indie Game Mag, writer Alex Wilkinson says it's "awesome" and calls Party of Sin "the next big 2D platformer puzzler" :D
It was definitely a team effort. Dan and I (Alfred) worked together for a month figuring out the storyboard before hiring on freelance artist Jesse Clark of The Cinematic Syndicate to edit it together. We went through every idea from slight improvements on past trailers (you don't wanna see those) to a creepypasta-style live action flick of someone with multiple personality disorder to a parody of Lord of The Rings to what's posted above. Then Dan, Vince, and Dan's friend Stephane Beniak filmed up some great footage and Jesse Clark edited it together with style. Finally, Blake produced a couple solid passes on the music (Hell metal and Purg electronica) and the team voted for Purg electronica, going with Kert Gartner's advice to always include dubstep.
All in all, it took us about 3 months to get the monstrosity finished, but I think it's really paid off.
Oh! One last thing: Dan and Vince are gonna fly from Montreal to the bay area (around San Francisco California) to coordinate reviews of the game in person with various press people. They'll be available October 23-26. Right now their schedule is looking pretty thin, so if you live in the area and would like to meet several of the team members in person, just email dan@crankshaftgames.com and he'll take it from there.
Cheers!
The Party of Sins
Fantastic trailer, visualizes the right intense coop puzzle and platformer action.
I hope the final game will also feature that music genre!
It will, with lots of variations to keep it fresh. :)
