With this program you can check every inventory on your server. Perfect to find people who abuse duplicates or just to see who got the most diamonds on the server. Please note that it doesn't update in real time and if the player is on the server chanses are his inventory file (which InvCheck reads) will be outdated. But for offline players it is great!
Installation
Put this program inside the "world/" folder on your server. If you use another folder to store the map in you should put the program there instead
You need Java to use this program. Java 1.6 is supported but older versions might work. You can get java for free at java.com
Usage
The first time you launch InvCheck you will have no cache of the icons. This means the icons must be downloaded from the Internet which can take some time. Currently the icons are downloaded from Minecraft-ids.grahamedgecombe.com. Please note that InvCheck is not anyhow related to this webpage and this is only a temporarily solution
As of now you can NOT edit the inventory in any way. You can only read it. Don't get confused over the fact that you can select items.
Currently every icon displays two numbers. One yellow at the bottom and one black at the top. The black one is the item/block ID and can be used to spawn this item in game using the /give command. The yellow is the count I.E. the number of that specific item in that position in the inventory.
F.A.Q
Q: Why is a red number displayed instead of an icon?
A: A red number means that there is neither a cache copy of an item with that id nor a image available on the net. A icon with the ID of the item is generated instead.
Q: Can I manually add a icon for a item if the icon is missing?
A: Yes, just name the file X.png where X is the number of the item. Then put this file in the cache folder
Q: My program won't create a cache folder!
A: Try creating one manually
Q: I have a cache folder but the program won't save any icons to it
A: This is usually a permissions problem. You could copy the "player/" folder together with the program to your desktop and browse there instead. Note that you will need to copy the player folder manually each time you want to browse peoples inventories to make sure it is up to date
Q: Do InvCheck update in real-time?
A: Currently not. You must restart the program to update what it displays.
Q: I use Linux and it won't start or it doesn't diplay correctly
A: Launch the Terminal. Use the 'cd' command to get into the world folder. Now launch InvCheck with 'java -jar InvCheck.jar'
That'll sure be useful. Good job on this, man.
gold for watches <3 finally gold is useful for something :P
you should change the yellow to blue, or something else more visible
