This week I worked on the throne room, and also created a showcase video for the 5th mission.

So this week I worked on the last stage of the mission - the throne room.

This is where the big boss fight will take place - against an exceedingly large orc.

Still have a lot to do here - but at least the decorations are in place. Will talk about the actual boss fight once I implement it.

But I did implement the frankly not-so-necessary feature of having the portcullis shut behind the player once they approach. This might actually limit the use of the companion if you have one - which will make the fight a little more tricky.

Aside from that, I also got around to creating a video showcasing one of the paths you can go through for Mission 5.

For those who don't want to watch a video - it goes through all the stages of the mission.

Starting with talking to the captain to get an idea of what's going on -

The Captain will explain the situation and the plan - get through the walls - break through to the keep - and then kill the goblin leader whilst the rest of the army serves as a distraction.

The next stage involves exploring the Upgrades for this particular mission - in this case we've purchased the siege tower, as well as having the rangers help by attacking from a tower in the courtyard - and getting healed between fights.

With the siege tower upgrade chosen, the first map is a fight to capture the walls and open the gates of the fortress - and then make one's escape through the trapdoor.

In this case - the player must break the barricade which the goblins have set up in front of the keep. In the meantime, however, goblins will be spawned from the nearby towers - and then move en mass to defend the barricade.

The player must juggle keeping the goblins down to a reasonable population, and breaking down the barricade - otherwise they will be quickly overrun.

And once that is done - the throne room for the big fight with the big boss.

And that wraps it up for this week. Next week I'll be working on the actual boss fight.
