Since joining Desura, we have received lot of great feedback. We couldn't respond to it all in a single release and last time we focused on gameplay, pacing, and content. This time we finished addressing the rest of the feedback, and the theme is allowing more people to play how they want to play.
Here are the main highlights
- Free DEMO version of game (only has first 6 levels)
- Binds for mouse/keyboard
- Full Game Controller Support
- Play as Female or Male Flash Bios
- Red / Green Color impaired support
Yin or Yang?
The myth of Flash Bios is obscure at best. Was Flash male or female? We simply don't know...you will have to decide when you play the game! The image above features our female Flash Bios (center). We think she is pretty awesome.
To See or Not to See (the difference)
The vivid red of the attacking virus looks alarming against the green green grass...err...for most of us! A goodly portion of people have red / green color impairment and our new alternate grass textures cut these people some slack. Choose our new "Vision: Red / Green impaired" option.
Control
One of the more common requests was for key binds and for game controller support. Now you have both! All the tutorials and prompts are updated to show what key is actually bound, and the game now has a game controller mode. Just plug in the game controller before launching the game. The game controller can operate all features of the game from launch to finish. This implementation using DINPUT so we have some limitations (no rumble feedback, etc), but it does have the most compatibility with older gamepads. If you have a device that is not working for Bit Shifter, let us know.
Free Demo
This one explains itself. If the reason you haven't tried Bit Shifter yet is that you don't want to have to pay to find out how awesome it is, then this is your big chance. Go grab the Demo version and tell us what you think. The demo is fully functional but only includes the first six levels.
