The programming never seems to stop. Now that I'm out of college for the summer, I've had plenty of time to develop programs, and most importantly, Grindventure! It has been about 2 weeks of production, and everything seems to be going according to plans. Recent updates include fixes and features for neat stuff such as weather and enemies:
I've never worked with sprites or weather layouts before, so discovering this was certainly a very fun process:
With a custom engine, I am able to play around with all sorts of stuff. Below you will see an early tested terrain that I took out, but it just goes to show what you can do:
I'll begin adding a change list as I upload game features. Thanks for checking this out and give it a try, it's free! I'd love to hear from you guys.
wow looks great, keep working on it :D
im going to download this right now :)
btw #1 :D
Sounds interesting. I'll wait for the finished version though. Tracked.
dude is it just me or does this look a lot like 001 game maker engine
I find it interesting that by this game's standards... all you need to be a hero is mass slaughter.
Not to sound too philosophical here -- but what does that make some real world figure appear like in this game?
Good point, I did sound a bit cherubic in my brief description, so I added "discover what it takes" to the last sentence.
Like nothing, that's what. I'm guessing in The Hero in this game is killing evil beasts and people to bring peace. In other words, it's what you can expect from a typical RPG where you play as a good character.
I hope there is grinding in this game? And lots of stats? An an element of randomness?
