So! First things first we start with a sketch. The sketch is made by Owen and then passed to Brett to be blocked out in Blender. Our goal is to make the fox look sly and cheeky, and be able to walk around on two legs when required.
The next step is to create the bash mesh, and try create a shape that looks appropriate. After that is done we can begin to tweak some areas to get closer and closer to something everyone likes.
The next stage is the mesh blocked out with all the required features. It has been tweaked in areas to make it look more appealing and is now ready to be textured.
This is the fox after being unwrapped and textured, and is now ready to be animated so we can bring the little fox to life.
The first step here is to create a skeleton for the fox, which the mesh can then be rigged to.
Once the mesh is set up and fully rigged, we can then begin to pose the fox into positions required for animating.
These are a small selection of the animations for fox can perform.
And so the fox is born, and is ready to terrorize your farm and steal your chickens!
It was fun to implement this little guy, as along the way there were a few bugs, one of which was his insane demand to drift everywhere he went.
Once we ironed out the bugs the fox worked quite well and we are happy with the result.
