WHAT?! LINUX?!?!
Yes. Linux. Project PUPPET's reign of terror is now due to extend to the world's free operating system, where it can have access to even more souls! It was getting bored... *insert maniacal laughter.*
Anyway, I am working on making a Linux port of the game, as I have already said. I do not know how well it will work (or even IF it will work) yet, as my experience with Linux is rather limited. If it does not work, I will remove the download with my most sincere apologies. But it is always worth a shot!
Expect the following software requirements:
glibc 2.11 (featured in many of the most recent flavors of Linux like--but not limited to--Ubuntu 12)
The game prefers to run in 64-bit environments
And the following hardware recommendations:
A 2 Ghz Quad-Core Processor
4 GB RAM
HD Graphics Card
Two-Button Mouse or Trackpad
Keyboard
However, these are no where near the minimum requirements. The game has run on computers with as little as a 2 Ghz Dual-Core processor and 2 GB of RAM, although the experience was rather slow and choppy.
Now that PUPPET has been out for a while, I may be releasing a PDF download of the game level maps with important objects highlighted, so that players can have the most-complete experience. Only if you choose though!!
Thanks to everybody for their support. I never thought the game would get as popular as it has. I'm so grateful for its largely positive reception!
