Hi everyone!

Today, we want to talk about our game ideia what inspired us and show you our moodboards for our game "Through Your Eyes".


Game Descripton

"Through Your Eyes" is an Atmospheric Narrative-Driven game where you play as a very curious Valais Blacknose sheep who finds a mp3 player in a forest while exploring. When listening to the only file it had, it’s possible to hear someone describing something with a lot of passion and audible emotion. It motivates the little sheep to capture what she interpreted from the audio with her camera. As the game progresses, she learns more from the unknown voice through the audio device— their desires, their aspirations, their fears, the way they see life, and wants to know more about it: Who could this being be?

There are some areas that require the sheep to upgrade her camera in order to access map parts that she can’t reach.

Each area is focused on a different sense: taste, hearing, smell, vision and touch, in a beautiful semi-open world designed map with a lot of nature and fantasy.

In this game, the player will experience life through a different perspective and learn the importance of looking outwards.


Moodboards

Art Style

Our arstyle is heavily inspired by games such as “Lil Gator Game”, “Alba” and “Beasts of Maravilla Island”, these games have simplistic, cute and interesting aesthetics that fit well within this genre of games that are more relaxing and about taking your time instead of constantly being challenged. “Beasts of Maravilla Island” in particular uses a lot of emissive textures which help with the sense of things being more magical, this is something we’re aiming for as well.

Aesthetics of the Level

The levels of our game will be heavily focused on forests, as such it’s important to learn the aesthetics of various trees and plants, especially ones from the Western and Southwestern Europe, our main maketing region. As previously mentioned we’ll also attempt to give a more magical feeling to various trees, plants and animals, making it so our game has interesting and creative things to take photos of.

Character and Assets

Our character is based on a Valais Blacknose Sheep, the main features of this sheep is the fluffy fur, the bangs, horns and colors, we’ll be adapting these features to a more humanoid character and along with it we’ll be designing a MP3 playing and a camera as those as the two essential gadgets for the gameplay.
