Former pilot, inmate Korski is doing his last ground-to-orbit shipment at the Camp 1 geological trial drilling site, a four man strong mineral prospecting operation
setup by the People's Mining Company. All is not well at the camp, however and things start going horribly wrong.
Camp 1 is a medium length, slow pased, classic style point and click game about bureaucracy, penal labor, isolation and desperation. All in 320x200 resolution with low color count.
(Description from left to right)
Inmate Korski, camp pilot and assisting technician (although he doesn't know that much about technology of any kind). He is responsible for shipping supplies from passing interstellar freighters, to the camp. Korski is also the player character of the game.
Inmate Chen is the camp administrator although she also has some knowledge in geology. She has the overall on site responsibility and is therefore also the highest ranking inmate.
Inmate Adwa, the geologist, has a vital role in the drilling operation, although he has not been around for that long. Drilling has become a lot more methodical and scientific since he came along.
Inmate Parker is the camp's technician. She runs and repairs the machines, and makes sure noone touches her tools. She usually has a lot to do since things tend to either freeze, scorch or simply fall apart in the harsh weather conditions.
The game's main theme: Gnossienne No. 1, by Erik Satie, performed by the pianist magia154.
V.1.15 deals with some playability issues such as hotspot sizes and in game hints. A couple of minor graphical bugs have also been fixed.

Hey, I just wrote a small article in french about Camp 1 :
Cabinetdechaologie.wordpress.com
Spoiler : I liked it ;)
I already asked this but my comment has disappear!
Can you do a walkthrough for this game?
I'm stuck in a the tent with the cooler/freezer and cannot finish the game!
Please!! Also a textual walkthrough is good anough for me.
There is a link to a walkthrough in the game's description on gamejolt:
Gamejolt.com
I hope that helps.
Fantastic atmosphere - I'm not talking just visually but also soundtrack, pacing, even the gruff laconic dialogues convey the mood of grizzled persistence and claustrophobia. Loved it and wrote about it for my weekly column: Greekgamer.gr
It's in Greek, but it's almost exclusively praise (some of the pixel-hunting is my only minor complaint). Eagerly anticipating your next release.
Thank you for spreding our propaganda!
Too bad I accidently built in obstacles for translating the game. Hopefully Greeks are fine with english for now.
I'm actually working on enlarging some of the smaller hotspots in the game, since people have been complaining about it.
Oh and by the way, I think you linked to an old version (v1.12) in your article. There is a newer one with some fixes.
Most Greeks (especially gamers) have an adequate grasp of English, they should have no problem with the text. Always happy to spread the propaganda for such a worthy game! Eagerly awaiting your next effort
PS. Do you have a Facebook or a Twitter page? I get nothing under Waxwing Games
I'm afraid you won't find a whole lot more about Waxwing Games since it was founded just a few weeks ago, when this game was released. May be more in the future though. :)
Very nice pixel art, will other chapters be released?
Thanks!
The game was not intended as a chapter in a series. -Never been a huge fan of episodic games myself. However, there may be other games, set in the same gameworld or even picking up where this one ended. But those will be stand-alone stories.
