CERES is a cyber-tactical space combat game, where you lead a squadron of ships in an exploration and battle-filled single-player campaign. Inspired by Homeworld, Elite and Paradroid, it features thorough ship customization, advanced cyber-warfare and elaborate space combat. Command your ships in a rich 3D environment, manage your crew and artificial intelligences, mine, explore and trade your way through multiple missions -while keeping clear of alien monsters, rogue machines and dangerous transhuman mutants.
Here is combat demonstration for the final version of game. It involves the player engaging a pirate fleet in combat. Objective is to board a pirate carrier and steal vital data. It's a fast paced combat situation and demands the attention of the player.
Are there any plans to have ship wreck instead of an explosion and no remains after a ships death? I think it would look much nicer, but obviously would be a whole different element than the current code and effects. Salvaging wreckage would be pretty cool too.
Hey, sorry for the late reply. No notifications...
Each ship has its own wreckage. There is a certain chance of leaving a wreckage. It is affected by how much damage actually destroyed the ship.
The wrecks themselves also take damage. So late missiles or slugs can destroy a ships wreckage.
The player can find special wrecks that he can salvage and add to his fleet. Wreckage after destroying a ship cannot be salvaged. You can although board and capture ships in combat.
