Combining its own unique take on the real-time roguelike genre, with a nostalgic 16-bit look and feel; Diehard Dungeon is a game that feels both familiar and quite different at the same time, "occupying a curious middle ground between The Legend of Zelda and The Binding of Isaac". [Edge online 2012] Followed by a trusty, treasure collecting companion chest, the player must make their way through the dungeons many randomly-generated rooms and levels. Armed with a sword and a ‘hand cannon’, all manner of nasty dungeon dwellers, bosses and traps will need to be defeated or traversed in order to emerge from the dungeon victorious! To aid them in their quest, the player may be lucky enough to encounter one or more upgrades, or new abilities, scattered throughout the dungeon. A randomly generated dungeon is created every playthrough. Discover the dungeons many secrets and multiple outcomes. Do you have what it takes to survive the dungeon?
Happy new year everyone! I hope your experience of 2014 has, thus far, been a positive one.

Trailer audio is clipping a lót
I always wonder if a game dev doesn't know the basics about sound, how can they make a game which is much harder? :P I know obviously you can make a game as we can see in the trailer, I just wonder why you didn't take the 5 seconds to fix the audio though...
The problems with the audio in the trailer here are due to the way it has been encoded by Desura. Take a look at the YouTube version: Youtube.com
It's not a "5 second fix" and is not present in the actual game. However, I'll see if uploading the trailer with a different audio format will help.
I meant that in many cases the cause of the clipping could have been prevented very easily.
But if it's the player I guess not. It's a lot better now on this page as well...
Hey! Amazing game... already voted for it on Greenlight...
I only have a couple requests:
-One is that there's no resolution change when you go windowed, an option would be amazing.
-The other is, would it be possible to have a alternate control scheme? Kind of like The Binding of Isaac. I cannot get used to the mouse to attack. xD
Hope you get Greenlit soon! :)
Thank you! :)
I've had a few requests for setting the windowed resolution. I'll add it to the next patch.
I'll see what I can do regarding the mouse/keyboard control scheme, but it's tricky to get 360° aiming without the use of the mouse. The game is best played with a controller if you have one.
My Virus Scanner is going Haywire when trying to install this over XN.dll
False positive?
Nevermind, My scanner literally had a regular auto-update this morning and it all seems fine now.
Hi, sorry for not replying sooner. I'm glad you got it sorted.
It might be a accepting file type instance problem. Might be because of my virus protector. It likes to cut out a lot of exceptions lol.. I'll try downloading it separate and adding it to "admin"
Seems like all my games need me to add to admin to use :/
