Insurrection Windows game

Insurrection is an unforgiving, ultra-violent and over-the-top movement shooter with a tinge of bullet hell and character-action titles, with gunplay reminiscent of old-school first-person shooters such as Quake.

Dodge and weave through entire platoons of bio-mechanical androids with silky-smooth movement that gives you near complete control over your actions as part of a combat simulation meant to train you for joining the ranks of the Arctic Confederacy (not to be confused with the Confederacy of old) - all while fragmenting their machines into bloodied pieces with ultra-lethal weaponry, ranging from a simple handgun all the way to a life-siphoning high-caliber sniper rifle.

Unlike traditional arena-based FPS's, you cannot find resources in the game world, at least not in excess. You will have to properly leverage your abilities to stock up on ammo, replenish health, and recharge your shields, or your neglect of these abilities will lead to your demise.

To gain the Confederacy's favor (represented in a style meter to the left of your HUD), you'll need to play with style, making sure to dodge your enemies' attacks while landing your own in order to increase your rank. Cowering behind cover and taking pot-shots at the enemy from afar won't do you any good - the machines will take the fight to you should you decide to do so anyways. Risky and aggressive play is highly encouraged.

Nobody said it'd be easy, however - in later levels, enemies will level their lethality with your own as you play; some may gain more attacks or abilities, such as red Fodder units throwing their knives at you or orange Infantry units evading your more powerful shots, while others may call in all manner of other enemies as reinforcements or supporting fire from beyond the arenas, including but not limited to a mere squad of generic infantry units all the way up to a bombing run on the whole arena.
