Kate: The Six Generators Windows, Mac game

Kate: The Six Generators is the standalone video game adaptation of the "Into The Abyss" level from the 2013 survival horror video game, Slender: The Arrival.

STORY

You play as Lauren, a young woman looking for her missing best friend, Kate. Following the events of Slender: The Arrival, Lauren discovers that Kate - now a feral, hooded, and masked creature known as the Chaser - has been brainwashed and turned against her by a malevolent entity wearing a black suit and red tie, known as the Slender Man. After being knocked unconscious by the Chaser, Lauren is dragged away and taken back to the abandoned Kullman Mining Facility. When she awakens, she must escape the facility by collecting 6 gas canisters to activate generators separately located from each other in order to power the facility's main elevator and escape before the Chaser and the Slender Man find and kill her.

CHARACTERS

• Lauren - The main protagonist and playable character. She is a realtor who was helping her childhood friend Kate to sell her house before the latter went missing and Lauren began searching for her throughout The Arrival. Now aware of the truth and Kate's terrible fate, Lauren must escape from the clutches of her former friend and her faceless stalker.

• Kate / The Chaser - The main antagonist of the game. She is a mentally unstable girl tormented by hallucinations of a malevolent entity for years and eventually driven insane to the point where she became feral. She now carries out orders for the Slender Man, usually to chase and kill any trespassers inside the facility.

• Slender Man - The game's secondary antagonist. He is a faceless, masculine, paranormal entity that wears a black suit and red tie. Slender Man causes camera distortion, produces tentacles from his back and teleports throughout the Kullman Mining Facility, hunting for his newest victim.

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay in Kate: The Six Generators is very similar to its predecessor, Slender: The Arrival. The player is armed only with a flashlight. This limited defense forces a sense of helplessness, as the best way to survive in the game is to run whenever in danger. The Chaser itself is very aggressive. However, she does have a weakness. The only way of subduing her is by focusing the flashlight on her. The game also has several different enemies, all of which appear at different points in the game.
