Life After Us is a series of short horror games based in a universe inspired by the stories of Edgar Allan Poe and HP Lovecraft. The System, the second in the series sees you tasked with locating a young woman who suffers from a mental illness. She is believed to have returned to Hawthorn Sanitarium where she was once a patient. It is here your search begins.

Since I had done Fading Light first and not The System, both episodes gave me a decent scare even though I strive to make Let's Play while being as genuine about 'being spooked' and not Forcing myself to 'act' scared as possible - it got me still, pretty good. Bravo!

Great atmosphere, didn't like the model who chases you. Great potential! Also some cheap jumpscares...
I played this game a few weeks ago and loved it! It's got a great balance of creepy atmosphere and scary moments. For anyone interested I recorded my gameplay and would love any sort of feedback. Thanks! Here it is: Youtube.com
A quite scary game, well done, a few of the jumpscares were a bit cheap like the one in the end and a few things could be improved like removing the health HUD entirely if your health regenerates, but overall a fine experience, well done.
I'm a bit curious though, will you be making a LaU episode that's set in Egypt? I recalled a few of HP Lovecraft's story that is set on the location and the set would have been interesting and unique, asylums, hospitals, creepy island and houses, it's a bit overused in a LOT of horror games, and having the set up would be indeed unique.
I mean, the only horror stuff i currently know that is set on Egypt is just the Curse mod for HL2, and well, my mod, Scrolls of Shaimoon, but then again, they're mods.
I'm curious what will happen if you guys make that kind of stuff.
Very good game, got me a lot of times! Had fun, maybe some heartbeats here and there(maybe more than i should lol)..
