Roman Triumph is a survival city-builder / colony-sim inspired by classics such as 'Banished' and 'Kingdoms and Castles'. Set in roman times, you must lead your people, build a city from the ground up and fortify it with walls, ballistas, archer towers and other defenses to survive against the ferocious Hydra, Minotaur, Cerberus, the hordes of Barbarians, the almighty roman Gods and other mythological beasts.
In order for your city to strive, you must keep your citizens fed, safe, healthy ,and most importantly, happy. Strategically designing your city in this randomly generated world will improve your empire's chance to attract new citizens (overall city attractiveness and happiness), increase your resource and food production efficiency, ameliorate your relationships with the various gods, and maximize safety during attacks.
Throughout the years, your settlement will get attacked by increasingly dangerous enemies. Mythological beasts such as the Hydra, Cerberus, Minotaur and some flying ones will be interested in destroying your empire as your bustling city starts to disturb their habitats.
Barbarian armies from the North will also attempt to invade and pillage your land.
You must build walls, towers, ballistas and other types of defenses to eliminate this threat. Train an army of legionnaires which will assist your long range defenses.
Progress through the tech tree to unlock increasingly powerful defense technology.
Don't forget make every god happy, build temples, and comply with their rules or they can quickly become hostile and ruin your crops, send devastating lightning blasts, infect citizens with deadly diseases, start horrible thunderstorms…
Every civilization starts with the basics. But as your city evolves, you will be able to discover new technologies enabling you to build new structures (production, weaponry, religion, housing etc...)
Trade, hunt, gather, build crop and animal farms, create resource production lines, establish order, provide healthcare, offer entertainment, build defenses and much, much more!
