Hello everyone!

It's time for another devlog for our upcoming game, "The Fisherman".

In this third article, we'll go through our fishing minigame's fundamental mechanics and programming, as well as the 3D model for our fisherman's little boat, the "Dóris".

Fishing Minigame 🎣 -» The first steps

After coming up with the initial idea and creating a mock-up of the minigame (you can see this mock-up here), we began the process of developing the basic mechanics such as the movement of the boat.

After we had the movement of the boat and the 3D model of it, it was time to add one of the story's main characters, the cods! So we began programming the cod's movements in the sea. We also add a few fresh details to the scene to make it a little more visually appealing.
