TWOBIT is a really unique VR puzzle-platform game - only using his or her sight, the player controls a little robot in a strange room and helps him approach problems and puzzles, and ultimately unravels the mysteries of this dark and enigmatic place.

Description

I believe this may be the last development log video for Twobit, well, at least for this demo that is. All the puzzles are in place, tons of new environment elements and all the textures are finished. I also decided to add a 'Twobit vision' that allows you to see what Twobit sees, as long as he's not rolled into a ball. The ultimate goal of the game is to figure out what to do to prevent a terrible event that happens after ten minutes - but I don't want to spoil it here too much. I'm now packaging it for release on the Gear VR first and will submit it soon! Exciting!

This is Twobit, a simple VR experience done in Unity 3D by Squidbeam Games that will be available for the GearVR and Oculus Rift. The game stars a little robot called Twobit who happens to be trapped in a strange room. Only using his or her sight, the player controls a little robot in a strange room and helps him approach problems and puzzles. Simple commands can also be sent to him by nodding 'Yes' in agreement or by shaking 'No' in disagreement. This experience explores different ways to control characters in VR, as well as trying to build a relationship between them. It also features puzzle elements that ultimately lead the player to unravel the mysteries of this dark and enigmatic place.
