I can say with confidence that all those screenshots are historically accurate.

Thanks! I just kept erasing the alpha channel on the textures, first using a large eraser brush to sort of define the edges, then a smaller brush for finer details. I'd invert the eraser into an "uneraser" and brush out lots of tiny small lines to give it that torn cloth fibers look.
Hey uhhh what's the name of that other song that was being played in the help screen?
Yeah, I like to what fresh games too.
It worked once I logged in. Weird.
Funny thing is, the Desura link gives you the old version (7.5.0) which sucks. Portrait packs only work in 8.0.0!
Haha, I'll tweak them as I go along. That map's pathways are narrow so they can actually fall from the pushback right now...
For the rifleman, its just for game balance, he's extremely useful as a ranged attacker so I need to give some sort of disadvantage somehow. Every unit needs to have their own pros and cons so the player learns to make them work as a team.
The nice thing though is that this unit classes thing is temporary. The plan is that the game will let you customize each of your unit's skills (like in FF Tactics), so yeah, maybe you can have a rifle-butting rifleman later. Perhaps bayonets too, etc.
I've been thinking of this myself. Most open-source engines out there don't have a dedicated map editor, and using Blender to stand in for it is a good idea.
There's even an engine I know (gamekit) that can read .blend files natively.
You mean aesthetically speaking, or functionally speaking?
They certainly look bland (they are temporary placeholders).
Other than that, I feel sometimes they get in the way of seeing the action so I thought there should be a toggle for their visibility, like how most RTS games do it.
Either way, the GUI at the bottom of the screen will also show the HP bars, along with other info.
Thanks! That was my first try using sculpting.
I already have a copy of this doujin game (which is free), don't see why I should spend money.
Woah, didn't know this was being done in Unity
I'm making a game called "Victis". Do you guys have any issue with that? I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes here. Its like the issue with Scrolls and Elder Scrolls.
