Good job! Enjoyed the demo, and looking forward to future releases.
This early version there isn't an in-game option for resolution. It can be adjusted via an INI file.
In your Old Town directory, UDKGame/Config/DefaultEngineUDK.ini If you open this file (notepad works), and scroll down about halfway to [SystemSettings]. There's a ResX and ResY where you can plug in the resolusion you want (be sure to stick to standards). The ini file is read-only, so you'll have to uncheck that before saving.
Sulcuryalt: Thank you for your positive comments! These are what helps the most. All of your feedback is great, and I appreciate it. I'm all over the journal bugs, and that stairwell has always been touchy with timing. Thanks you, and I'll do what I can.
Really enjoyed playing this game. Awesome atmosphere, and a unique overall approach. Plenty of room for improvement, but like you guy's said "completed in five weeks" is pretty damn good for that!
Hey! I'm in this picture. Sitting at the Illfonic screen.
This is out and it's free?! Spread the news, tell some people! That's what this site is for.
I just played through it, had a great time, linked it to everyone.
I'm intrigued by a cartoon kid in a chicken suit contrasted against a dark, dangerous world.
Let's see some videos!
I'll do my best! To me, that's the point of putting up this page; getting the feedback and support to drive me to the finish. While I'm new on this site, you can track my youtube channel or epic forum's page to see I've been updating this project regularly. I'll be sure to update this page often as I'm learning the ways of the indiedb community.
azultain, Amnesia and the Penumbra series were definite influences. However, it was starting this project that lead to me playing them as I was somewhat out of the loop. One could easily draw comparisons which I accept as Amnesia is an amazing game I tell everyone to take a closer look at.
And unless something crazy happens (like someone backing a dump truck full of money to my door) this game will be released for free. My currently staggered set of goals is to release an alpha demo (first level), then continue releasing single levels over time until it reach full game size. As well as rereleasing the original level with updates based on demo feedback and overall direction the game takes.
