I've been playing this game for 5 days, now. It's not exaggerated to level it with fallout games. Acctually, imo, Age of Decadence playability is better than Fallout's. It's very cool notice how the background system works, and also there are many checks in your actions about either your innate skill, your learned skill, the things you're known for doing (Being loyal or cheater, being kind, being hated or not by some faction, etc.)

There are thing you can do only with the right innate skill, most you can only do if you have the necessary knowledge, others you can do only if filiated to some factions, others you can do only if you don't belong to any faction. Who can say which is the best way? I don't yet, but one thing I'm pretty certaint: Without hacking the game it's impossible to beat everyting with only one character. Your story can be anything, it can be pretty lame if you're lame, you can die as soon as your adventure start for doing something foolish, but it can also be very great and cunning, or brave and mercyless. I'ts up to your skills, your background, and whatever you want to do with it.
