Thank you for checking us out!
New dev log out, article coming soon!
Very awesome update! I was just checking back here last night and wake up this morning and here it is!
Currently, yes it is. I have moved to a different interest of mine, and one I think compliments my interests better.
I don't know if the Camera you are using to fly through is the final 'camera', but to fix that clipping issue when you are colliding with the objects, (like when you can see right through a mesh) change the near clip plane to 0.1, I believe default is 0.3 and changing it that incremental amount will make a world of difference!
Hey Bedndarc, it's Chad from SUBSIM. Good to see you add Project "LODKA" here!
Those models look great!
I saw your post in the Unity forums about making the AI a package, my team and I are very interested!
Great progress btw!
Thanks for the comment!
Mafia 1 is one of my favorite games, and definitely using it as reference. So funny you figured it out.
What Zarmune (Nathan) is forgetting too is that this weekend we will release Build v0.15 after being play-tested and reviewed. Stay tuned!
Thank you momomo544, the full link to the playable build (web based) is here: Grimwarestudios.com
Sorry for any confusion.
Right you are! There was a request for some renders of the building WIP, and decided to upload it here as well.
@Anddos: We do watch both shows, and serve as a large influence in the design of the investigations in the game.
@MattDementous: thanks for the support, and we're watching your game with eagerness!
@All: The graphics are being revamped, have no fear, except in game of course.
Hey thanks for posting!
We already know that the graphics are a bit dated, but if there's anything you have in mind, we're open ears!
Thank you Paradigmthefallen. As everyone starts somewhere, this is our somewhere. We started this in 2009 without knowing the difference between an Array and a Z-Buffer, and to actually be within really showcasing something worthwhile, is exciting and a bit nerve-racking at the same time.
Congratulations on finishing a game! Something many of us haven't accomplished, including myself!
tldr version: He ended up doing the animation in Flash.
This project has a lot of potential. I could offer up some help with modeling where needed. Others have mentioned it, but the spear I could replicate, unwrap, and texture it correctly in about 5 minutes.
No disrespect to the modeler, it seems he/she is learning, and the best way to learn is to take constructive criticism to heart, and not personally.
Try making the spear again, and again, until there are no turned edges, flipped faces, and fix everything everyone else has mentioned.
Crazy good stuff guys. The model looks really good, wish I could do a human half-as-good!
Good to see you! I remember finding your guys' website sometime last year and was impressed. Great work guys
Subscribed! Excellent promotion to get Overgrowth, and ultimately Wolfire games' name out.
I agree. You make very valid points. The animations as of now are very superbly well done and you're right, they look AAA from a professional studio. I can't wait to see more movies from these guys!
Have you developers read anything from Brian Jacques? He's a novelist that writes stories that are similar to the tagline of Overgrowth.
One of my personal favorites of Jacques is Martin the Warrior. It's been a few years since I've last read it (more like a full decade) but I wouldn't mind picking it back up, from what I remember reading about it.
I did some searching and here's a Wiki entry about it:
En.wikipedia.org
Dropbox is a really good tool to use! I see you're also using Unity, which when you create a project in your dropbox, it syncs relatively nicely and accessible to all members!
@Rex, I posted on your profile page. Please check it out :)
Hey if I had a request for a car for you to model for my own project, would you do it if I paid you? You definitely have talent, and I have a specific car model I need and would be willing to pay you for it, if you do this kind of work.
