Just a historical tip. Most of the time, Germans were only sent to the Eastern Front for disorderly conduct, etc. But, soldiers on the eastern front were mostly comprised of Polish recruited by the Germans, as well on the Russian side, in 1917, as they need their own troops to fight the communists. The Polish on the Russian side were ill-equipped, sometimes they only had uniform and no rifle, ordered to pick it up after their dead comrades.
