I've been an avid gamer for basically as long as I can remember. I started out with the classics (Wolfenstein 3d) and have tried to play pretty much every important FPS title since. I was first introduced to modding with Star Trek: Bridge Commander, but only really got into doing it myself with Halo: Custom Edition. I have several Halo projects in the works and have started a Skyrim modding project that is in its very early stages. I do 3d modelling, texturing, and animating. I am currently a Computer Science major at Texas A&M University. I have begun learning Unity 3D and I hope to develop a game with it in the near future.
I decided to try remaking the MA5B assault rifle from Halo 1. Mostly I just did it for practice and to help me learn normal mapping, but I might get around to putting it in-game in Halo Custom Edition.
It is modelled, textured, and normaled completely from scratch. I didn't reuse anything from the original rifle.
