honestly, none of us have any idea why GitHub has been freaking out and failing to download the mod correctly for some, currently i think theres a mirror link somewhere, just ask around in the discord

a lot of those settings are broken and/or redundant at this point in time, so theres no way of disabling them right now

and theres plenty of warning, the sound being played could be adjusted yes, but there is warning

Black Mass is in kinda like on off states of development, but its managed by the separate group 10 Gauge Studios which is also on ModDB, it was decided to create the Dev Team group for this page as a separate one, and the two can be merged later on if need be

I would give an honest review, but map progression was completely broken for me, hell, I couldnt even enter the first door on the first level. Normally I would have just noclipped through the door to progress since it was broken, but the damn anticheat script makes that impossible, and an attempt at commenting out the script in every place it exists didnt work either. So sadly, I cant review the mod, and I cant give it an honest critique.

something i just noticed, but the first person rolls seem a bit jarring to look at. would it be possible to make it a bit smoother or is it bound to each frame?

i found the line of code that can be removed to bring back the old firerate

it has to be the one right after

that ledgeclimbing thing isnt exactly the best. its slightly buggy. if you can isolate the ledge climbing feature of Slayers Rampage or Guncaster though that may work better

fire modes could be cool, but i dont really see myself using them too much. for the firerate there is an addon for BD that was made around the RC4 time that brought the older RC1 and older rifle code. thats what i tried using as reference to try and change the firerate
also, i think the loss of vision due to losing an eye could probably look better, as the graphic for the vision loss is a bit too obstructive of the screen. i tried making a graphic that was semi transparent that would look nicer but im still trying to figure it out

While playing, I have noticed a few bugs or things that could probably be fixed. -Flashlight breaks on weapons when you use the quick pistol.
-Glock sprites dont really fit in too well.
-third person sprites dont match up with the held weapon (player was holding plasma gun when pistol was out for instance)

Also, maybe a seperate patch as well that brings back the older rifle firerate? i tried messing around with the code myself to do that but i just caused it to fire extremely fast when aimed.
And an option for the recoil would be useful as well, or at least lessen it or something, cause it seems like theres a bit too much recoil.
