So during class yesterday I started uploading content for our content update, I was unable to finish before class was over I so decided I would finish after our Audio class. During audio class though I got a fairly large headache and had to go home. I woke up just over an hour ago and am in the process of finishing the upload.
I apolagise to any one that was waiting for the content. I hope that what you see will make up for the delay.
Update:
Contente update complete: Moddb.com
Yeah I'll check it out when I get a chance!
I have it downloaded but not installed as of yet!
Hit me up sometime when you get a playable public release!
Sorry I never got to come see your presentation and demo play :'(
Reading you blog and posting on this page: Unreal characters are super high definition, and can be VERY high poly. If you character modeler doesn't build in super high poly, build them to smooth (Very low poly to smooth results then tweaking), and that may help improve the overall quality of the models. The 2 materials allows the face to look very realistic, but keeping the rest of the body to a high grade of detail. 2048 X 2048 is 4 1024 X 1024 boxes is 4 512 X 512, etc So it's a LOT to work with. Never underestimate the UT3 engine :D. The character looks good but could use more detail, so go nutz! Make something "Unreal" haha. (I slap myself in the face every time I say that...)
Thank you for the information, and thank you for the interest in my blog. I did not think any one would actually read it!
I will pass this information on to our art lead.
If you write it they will come XD.
