For what it is worth I was overwhelmingly impressed with this mod/wad. The combination of subtle storytelling (including environmental storytelling), sound design, enemy variety and map design just made for a great experience.
Even just the minor details of hearing the first "horn" in the distance before the first enemy encounter implying the enemy are using horns to communicate.
There's a lot to take in.
Unintentionally I played my first run with the "dark" sector lighting, made for a very very hard to see experience which devolved into having to track enemies from either their eyes or their weapons fire.
If the quality of trenchfoot is even similar to this mod then I'm eagerly awaiting future updates.
