When the counter hits zero, it's yours, my friends! And so concludes over a year of non-stop work. This is the sequel to "A Fever Dream". It's rather unceremonious, really. I thought I'd have a lot more to say when this day came. But maybe I don't need to? So, I'll just let the game speak for itself!
Heath Games Presents: "Half-Rats: Parasomnia".
Thank you all for your support! I'll see you later. I need a good rest!
So that means... yer done? :D
This means that Half-Rats: Parasomnia will be available to download in 2 hours and 30 minutes at the time I'm writing this ^^
Possible high risk of a "Day One" patch that will be required to play the game, more details on that when the countdown reaches 0.
You don't even know how long I've been waiting to write that :P
I'm extremly excited! Thought it was gonna come out tomorrow, such a great weekend!
We hope you are gonna enjoy it ^^
It's Released? Tubechop.com
Just wait a hour and 20 minutes ^^
Ok, i dont remember exactly the process to install the mod, but it's something like this?
1 Have Steam
2 Have Half Life
3 Put the mod in the folder steamapps, then in the folder of half life
Am I wrong? Or I forget something? Please let me know, because last year I have a big time installing A fever dream in midnight lol.
steamapps/common/half-life/hrp
The mod has some sort of a error message when I run it. It says "could not load library" followed by steamapps/common/half-life/hrp/cl_dlls/clinet.dll, pressing ok shuts the mod off.
Have I exctracted it wrong?
Day one patch?
I looked into the extracted files and the client.dll is in its designated folder.
Grab that day one patch!
It works! Fantastic!
Wait, In which folder I have to put client.dll?
Just download again and you're all set! But if you don't want to do that, just put the client.dll in the cl_dll folder of HRP.
Ok this is what I did, before the problem.
I extract Parasomnia in a diferent folder from steam, then I choose all the content from Parasomnia and put in the valve folder inside Half Life, the client.dll is in the cl.dll folder, but its still appearing the text that "could not load the library"
What I did wrong? Please let me know
Welp, it's gotta' be in it's own folder. if you put it in valve, you might as well uninstall half-life, lol.
steamapps/common/half-life/hrp
HOLY **** IT'S HERE.
I'm gonna try to play this as soon as I can; I gotta make the end of this year worth it!
Finally! Can't wait to play it!
So it is a sequel? I wonder how it ties in... Good thing I replayed AFD last month!
Oh, you'll see how it ties in!
This ending is a LOT more satisfying. ;)
Congratulations on the release buddy. Looking forward to play it.
Uhhh...models are going through walls and objects are disappearing randomly. How do I fix this please? I was looking forward to playing this...
It's just the way things go.

Mr Rats I have a problem: when I pick the backpack in both training and the first chapter the mod crash and then a text appear, that says:
"SV_StarSound:volume=428"
Help me please, let me know.
Too many ambient sounds on a map. Try to reduce your volume settings in the game.
mmmm, ok thanks, if this dont happen, I have to erase some sound from de sounds folder?
In fact, it looks like same happens to me and reducing the volume doesn't help. Deleting the sounds is probably not a good decision. The problem is in map settings. I'd better play the game with Xash3D without such stupid problems, but developers made the mod only SteamPipe Half-Life compatible. OK, let's wait for another patch.
We never had a crash related about sounds. You can try to type the following commands in the console to see if it changes anything:
volume 0.1
MP3Volume 0.25
suitvolume 0.25
If it doesn't work, either you are using a weird version of HL1 or your HL1 installation may be corrupted.
As for Xash3D and WON : unlike the "Demo update", I didn't had the time to port the whole HR:P code to a 2.3 SDK and I still don't have the time nowadays. 1 version of the source code and 2 platforms to handle (Win32/Linux) is more than enough for myself.
Once we're done with Parasomnia, the source code will be there ( Github.com ), after that, HL1 modders will be free to do whatever they want with it (as long as we get credited and the license are respected).
UPDATE : In the worst case scenario, move or delete the ambient sounds, you shouldn't get any error/crash (just a warning in the console about a missing file)
:(
Ok I dont mind waiting for a patch, Mr Rats did a great Job, we can wait for the subtitles and somethig relating with the sounds. Keep going.
I can try to investigate about the sound issue you have but I can't promise that I can fix this by my own.
The whole team did a great job! We'll see what we can do in v1.1.
Hey, forget about the volume, i fixed that, i have just to turn the volume down in the options, thank you very much by the way
Congrats!!
Thank you from all of us ;) .
i found a potencial bug, when im fighting, the enemies dissapear. What i can do?
As I said in the main page, we'll fix that in version 1.1. Also, it would be helpful if you'd post bugs and other problems in our forum Moddb.com or in Github Github.com .
Thanks for playing Parasomnia ;) .
Read the latest new article!
I shat myself... but I like it.
That was our goal ;) . Glad you'd liked it!
Someone here could do a gameplay of HRP?
It would be nice if someone did that, but it would also be prudent to wait for the 1.1 patch. For now, just visit our forum here Moddb.com with any questions you may have, regarding solutions and walkthroughs.
Thanks for playing our mod ;) .
