We are at the beginning of our adventure. Yes, it is a great adventure for us, because only one of us have already some experience with gamedev. For the rest of the team it is something new, so we are learning how to use our skills in some new way.
Why we choose a 'dungeon crawler' genre? It was my decision, I think that there are not too many games of this kind, especially with decent graphics. And from when I saw 'Dungeon Master' I was hoping that someday I make something similar. It was really long time ago:)
Now few months passed since we started the project. We are still making basic things, like GUI, textures, dungeon's elements etc. On the attached screen you can see a new thing which I did just few moments ago - a chest. This is, in general, an item that can contains other items. One small thing, one small step to reach the basic functionality.
But there are not only basics things that we have, some more complex things are already done: fully working save-game system, dungeon's editor which allow us to 'program' objects (doors, switches, trapdoors etc) and... a soundtrack performed by Polish band Popiół Kurhanów.
