Description
The Amazing Crackpots Club! is a fast-paced, action-packed magic duel in a 2D arena, where wizards throw powerful spells trying to destroy the opponent’s giant potion flask, while using their magic to protect their own flask from incoming attacks.
History
The Astrobard Games team developed a minimum viable product between 2020 and 2021, in their spare time between the hardships of the pandemic. The game started as a prototype called "Please Don't strike My Wall!" (2019) With that, seeing potential and drifting into the more fantastical aspect, the game was renamed "The Amazing Crackpots Club!" (2020).
At the end of 2021 they decided to invest a good part of the company's funds in acquiring the necessary help of an expert developer in the engine, to complete fundamental systems. This developer, Vadym Diachenko, known as YellowAfterlife, is Ukrainian, and his work could not be completed due to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, losing those funds.
With the real risk of not being able to continue with the project, for the rest of the year 2022 Astrobard Games continued with the independent development of the game, Iguanabee offered to help the small company to find a publisher, but a publisher could not be found for the whole year.
Taking a risk with TACC, IguanaBee offered an agreement to finalize co-development with Astrobard Games and Publishing for the game to be completed and to be released by 2024.
