What made you upset? The free content update or the 33% off sale?

Yes Spellforce is fun, but this is a very different game than that. Check out the demo and see for yourself.
Thanks for the feedback. Give the updated verison a try. It has new movement controls. As for your resolution, I'd be happy to help on our support forums if you post your system logs. (output_log.txt and dxdiag)
What are you talking about? You don't need to disable anything for the demo.
I'm sorry, but don't have access to any mac systems. It would be impossible for me to support so it was excluded.
Indeed, he has to bang them into shape and take out all his frustrations of not being a knight.
Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed the demo. It's very close to being ready for purchase.
Thanks for the comment. Yes, right now there are few other options being researched. This down time hasn't gone to waste though. Several new features and content have been added and of course bugs fixed. New demo build 5121 is being uploaded right now. :)
We didn't get enough votes to get greenlit by December. See our news for more info. The game will be available on other platforms soon.
You didn't offend us at all. Feedback is very important to help improve the game and we love to hear it.
The funny thing is that we had never seen or heard of Hinterland before publishing on indieDB. But it is very similar to this game.
The original plan for villagers was to have them work around town. The latest build now has this feature so be sure and write back and let us know how you like it.
Thanks for the follow up video and feedback. We worked on many areas based on your comments and suggestions. It would be great to know what you think of the latest build, 5087. Cheers
Without any details about your system I can't help much. In any event, I'd be happy to continue and help on our support forums as this isn't the right place. Thanks again for the feedback.
There is a confirmation box to exit game when you are in game... did you mean on the main menu?
If the window is too big, just change the screen resolution in the options.
It sounds like you might be playing an older version of the game. Did you download an Alpha or the Beta demo? Version 5080 is the beta anything else is Alpha.
There is sound warning and music changes when waves attack. In addition to those, the "next wave" timer in top left tells you and flashes Red.
Camera auto-rotate is in the options menu if you are asking for that.
As for your FPS, make sure you are using latest copy, and then try changing the video options. Make sure you have AA turned down and reduce the shadows settings. What video card and OS are you using?
Thanks for the feedback.
Yes there is a Linux version. Check the downloads section.
Thanks for the feedback. Could you share why you were disappointed? Maybe describe what your expectation was before playing?
Thanks for the great video and feedback.
Let me answer a few of your questions. Your arrow count is above the health orb in the bottom left. You may also start a wave attack by double clicking on "next wave" timer. These should be mentioned in the tutorial but maybe we should remind the player at later stage.
The player movement has been adjusted in the newest build 5073, so let us know how that feels to you.
Lastly, can you provide more detail as what setting(s) were not being remembered? Were you using the in-game or on main menu options?
Cheers
The first alpha preview is for Windows, but the final build will also support Linux.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Don't forget to try out the alpha preview and let us know what you think.
Cheers for the vote, every one counts when you're an indie.
We need your support on Steam Greenlight.

Yes, once the player builds a fletcher. Arrows are limited and produced in between each wave. Upgrading the building will increase this number. They are also fully simulated and will hit anything except your own villagers. So trees/buildings or other obstructions in the world.

Astral Byte was founded in New Zealand by a dedicated gamer who was tired of the current trend in new games. Companies are increasingly using things like restrictive DRM, exclusive release day DLC, unfair regional pricing and missing features that were promised but never delivered. Instead, Astral Byte aspires to create games that are fun to play and not solely driven by profit margins. Additionally, to support native Linux versions whenever possible.
