For everyone still playing this great game.
You can enable Ambient Occlusion using NVIDIA inspector.
Use Tom Clancy's Endwar for the compatibility setting.

Then turn it on in the NVIDIA control panel.

I'm so sad this doesn't have some sort of single-player in it. I've gone off multilayer games from bad experiences a few years ago.

Sorry to bother anyone but I'm having a performance problem.
I seem to be getting horrible lag during battles, It may be getting worse when shots are hitting ships but I'm not sure.

I haven't played X3TC vanilla so I'm not sure if this is because of the mod or not.

I have core i5 2500K running at 4.5ghz
8 gig ram and a gtx 570ti
Running on Windows 7

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Damn I just had an idea I thought was awesome but I'm not a modder of any kind.

Either officially or as a mod it would be awesome to have the bronze age.
I'm not history buff so bare with me if I get this wrong but we could have factions like ancient egypt, greek, spartan, and others I can't think of at the moment..
I can just imagine troops in gleaming bronze and holding big round bronze shields.

looks great, I really like the features I'm reading but I wish I knew how to combine the graphics of another mod with the features of this one.

Atm I'm playing Scaedumar mod and its so beautiful compared to the native graphics I can't go back.

Can anyone give me a few pointers if this can be done by just draggins and replacing the textures used for this mod?

Ditto that's all I can say,
Though I don't mind the money I spent on Fire and Sword because so far I I've had warband for 2 weeks and my counter is at 60.
Supporting a good franchise from good indie developers is always good.

and with mods the game is near perfect, the only reason I got the newer one was because I thought I would eventually get around to it when I'm done with warband.

Actually nevermind about my problem I'm not more interested in seeing if I can get this to work with CSS because I managed to get one terrorist hunt round working and it was so much fun.

I think this would be so awesome if I could play CSS with this for all the guns, physics, sounds and gore!

I really want to play co-op against bots with my dad.

Please help, This is great mod but I crash when as far as I can tell someone starts talking..

For example I skipped right to the scene where you get your first handgun from those CPs harassing that guy on the ground. And the lady says help or something and then my game crashes..

I also tried Hostage rescue and right when the match started my guys started to say something then the game crashed...
