A minute or so I believe.
For the most part the Generators power turrets (not added yet), forcefields, and whatever else the mapper may want. One map has it where if the enemy destroys your generator it opens the doors to your base.
Get a brain an learn to check the options menu for the "Class Switch" key and if it lacks one, bind it to one.

I think this mod would be even more awesome if someone remade it in the Source engine.
