I love you Wolfire, i love you Overgrowth! :D
I love you Wolfire, i love you Overgrowth! :D
Amazing work guys!
Very impressive, nice to see some new progress :)
I agree, it's always a nice treat when i wake up for work in the morning and find a new Overgrowth dev video to watch while getting ready :D
I also noticed a few differences between the zombie model and the survivor model.
-Survivor has a collar, zombie doesn't.
-Zombie still has the old hair whereas the Survivor's has been updated.
-Survivor has a black belt buckle, zombie has a gold one.
-Survivor's t-shirt on the arms is tight whereas the Zombie one has a gap.
-Zombie seems to have lost some fat on the hips during infection.
Lol, obviously you don't get it. If you're running before your walking, it implies your missing the fundamental basics of movement. It's an emphasis of the fact that running requires the ability to walk.
Basically, the advice is, try making simple little mods before delving into a huge project.
Antec 300 :) Nice
I can understand where you're coming from, if it were Britain vs the US, but i did mean as an Allied nation of course. In terms of infantry units we're actually very different to the US. Our standard equipment is a lot different to the US and the training is quite different too.
You should honestly consider Great Britain, they have one of the most well trained armed forces in the world. Tanks such as the Challenger 2, Chinook transports, Harriers, etc...
Nice! I remember Interstate '76, a classic game in the late 90s :D
The models are fantastic, it's a shame that the dated BF2 engine is preventing the mod from showing it's full beauty :(
The ideal size for me is between 3-6 anymore tends to get harder to control. :)
I brought it just to support Wolfire and the other devs, i gave 40% to charity the rest to the devs! Great idea guys :)
I could see this system working, it sounds quite good!
One of the things i love so much about the ModDB community, it's rare to find someone who is childish and insulting. Most people are mature and helpful, and it's this distinction between the common console gamer and us, the pc gamers and modders.
The game brings back them memories of sitting in your bedroom in 1993 playing Mario Kart with your friends thinking "WOW THE GRAPHICS" and enjoying the suprisingly cheesey music.
Zero Gear brings back that feeling, which means it gets the job done! Great work guys...
Irrlicht is very popular, are you an idiot? It's a fantastic engine...
Nice! The lighting looks millions of times better!
Haha, i don't think it will be dying anytime soon. Infact i'm hoping it'll be alright :P As long as you guys show some support it should be alright :)
It looks fantastic! Reminds me of sketchup the way you create the level.
UT3 and UDK both use primarily an additive based brush system now. Which is the same as the Quake games. It previously used subtractive brushes because it was more optimized for indoor environments. But with the advanced lighting and shaders it's more strain for them to use subtractive now.
And the visuals are as good as you want them to be, it's the content that is the limiting factor.
Awesome, i have a key. Is there a limited amount of keys or can anyone get it?
That's true, i guess i'm just used to the way UnrealEd and all the modding utilities work. They seem more sleek and fluid to me, i've worked a little with Unity and it felt like it had no structure or definition. When i first started using UnrealEd for the first UT it was easy to pick up and i felt that it communicated across how it works a lot easier than most utilities.
I'll be swiftly moving my project over to the UDK i think, i was planning on using a customized Q3 source but now this is available, i'm in awe :D
This is excellent news. I'm liking how all these expensive engines are become freely available to hobbyist game developers, Unity and now Unreal (which imo is a million times better than Unity!).
I love how pc gaming is striking back at the pathetic and idiotic console elitists at Infinity Ward by providing excellent freely available resources and supporting us pc gamers!
PC GAMING <3
Well, there's an engine called Vega Strike that is open source, and has many mods for it such as Star Wars, Star Trek and Babylon 5. Incredibly easy to mod too. It simulates space exploration, combat, trading etc.
Here is a screenshot:

(Please note that everything is customizable, even the source code, so you can have fancy graphics also)
I believe there may be other sentinent beings in the universe, maybe not to the extent that we are though, we've been on a very specific evolutionary line and it would be nearly impossible to find other humanoid type aliens.
Unless you believe in the "evolution knows best" theory, that most similarities in animals on earth are due to the idea that for example, 2 eyes are optimal etc.
Woohoo, finally! God, most definitely an amazing looking game! And the fact that you're supporting your roots means that right this moment i'm placing a pre-order!
Great work guys! :)
No offence guys, i think that the content of this mod is wasted on San Andreas! Great work on the models but come on guys, there are a million better games to base this mod on!
You'll have quite a few problems with the prediction. The source engine just isn't designed with networking vehicles in mind. Check out the HL2 rally website for more info.
It's pathetic that IW have done this, i signed the petition only a few hours ago and since then it's rised by 20 thousand, make sure to sign it people! 76+ thousand players is a lot when it comes to online FPS gaming.
