Actually it says pre-alpha of Gang Beasts.

It's either one of those two purposes:

1- You connected the controller after you've started the game.

2- The game couldn't recognize your controller.

The first solution is to restart the game with the controller connected.

The second solution is to go to the main menu, and press "Tab" this will bring the controls menu, and you will have to manually insert the controls you would like to have
