Human feeling indeed, I do like the hand drawn animations.

Gentle reminder from a current Neotokyo player, mod is not dead, just the majority of the player-base is older, and thus the population tends to follow the schedules of working people. Very few to no people on EU/NA midday but more people on at the evenings and weekends. Come pay us a visit, and if we're not around, join ActiveNeotokyoPlayers steam group, we shoot out announcements if we're starting a game.
There is a community made patch to this problem a while back, I think Steam may have already updated the game with the patch too.
Thank you breadman, I've always loved your maps, they had been at their release the scariest gaming experiences I ever had.
Not the most perfect mod, but the effort and attention to detail is well beyond most other mod makers, I really enjoyed what you made. To all people about to play this mod, I recommend playing it on a lower difficulty and I recommend tanking through the first level, it gets better.
Everyone is complaining about fps drops, I only had this issue with one area and I'm not using a gaming rig.
Could use some polish, encountered severe fps drops in numerous spots. I'll wait for a couple patches.
How's the July release date looking? On schedule or need more time?
Yo, it said press enter to use health vials, but it never works. Can they only be used in a contextual situation? They are the purple bars on the left side of the health bar correct?
Hey guys, if you like HL2 beta content, you should definitely play this mod.
You had me play Flappy Bird with a watermelon, 10/10.
As an outsider peering into the Brutal Doom reviews, both good and bad, both seem to be more about the creator of the mod than the mod itself.
Got to play your map, it was pretty well done, the cutscenes were a nice touch, though the implications of a story weren't hinted at, so the finale was a bit unexpected. One thing to note, your level was WAAAAAYYYY too long, would've been better to split it into multiple chapters, there wasn't enough health to go around for a level that long. The fact that hard fights are also interspaced amongst instadeath pitfalls just adds insult to injury. Traps are fine, but only towards the beginning of the level. Overall, it felt like a nice conclusion, just way too long of a level.
You had me, defend an npc, against tanky demons, with an AK-47. I blame my autism for actually playing this mod all the way through. Has anybody actually played the whole mod? Has anybody played it on veteran?
Holy Hell, just finished TIS part 3. You truly stepped up the quality of your mod this time.
The mapping is better than before, the story was wonderfully coherent and conclusive, the voice talent of the main character is very good, and the gameplay was okay. Some bugs cropped up here and there.
But still, you broke my expectations. Excellent work, and I thank you very much for making this mod.
How do you use fire in this game?
Oh man, I'm well aware that I'm super late to the party (like an archeologist missing out on the building of the pyramids), but I finally got to play this mod. I loved it! I really love the map design and the new enemies, you guys did a real good job making a custom mod on doom 3, pretty stable too. Keep up the good work, I look forward to when this comes out of alpha.
Oh boy, glad to know there's still a pulse! Keep up the good work.
Well, to be honest I was skeptical that this mod would see a release. Granted it's very beautiful and I was looking forward to it, but it kinda felt like too much effort for such a niche part of the Half-Life 2 universe. I guess it would have made the release of this mod even more special if it did came out.
Been playing the advanced maps, I'm not enthralled. Most of them are just speeding up your actions in previous maps. Even worse, some maps want you to depend upon the randomness of bouncing orbs. It feels like the advanced maps only seem to test your knowledge of exploits and your reflexes, none of the puzzles took me anytime to actually figure out what to do.
OH man, so excited for this mod's release. It's been merely a year and you've delivered on your promises.
Dang, time flies. I remember being super hyped for this mod to come out. Even more happy that there are intentions to move past the beta phase. Keep up the good work!
It's a shame that this mod hasn't been receiving more reception for the last couple of days. It's extremely well made, painless to install, stable performance, intricate map design, and well paced. I guess I'll do what I can to spread the word about this mod.
Well, seeing that we're not paying you to make this mod, I would say that you are the master of your own time.
If anything, the only reason why you would make a quick release is to capitalize on the attention so you can maximize the mod's reception. However, knowing when you're at peak coverage is impossible, and typically a well done mod attracts attention anyways.
Mannn :(, my computer barely handles D3 at max settings, wish I could download mods like these.
