Good mod. Not that it matters, but there’s already one mod doing this with customisable MCM sprint speed and walk speed multiplier, it’s called Gotta Go Fast.

Art doesn’t preclude to respect one’s work, on the contrary.

It’s not about copyright or IP. It’s about respecting other people’s work. I work in science, we cite articles all the time. At every sentence we write almost, there are multiple citations, and each citations refers to the work of multiple scientists. Everyone gets credited for their work and it’s beneficial to everyone to know who did what and what’s the original source of something someone said / based his work on. I apply the same logic to modding. You use the work of someone, the most little thing you can do is cite the original source of the work to respect said people and work. Many people consider gamma modtlist clutered, it’s simply because I get the original mods and then the mods that modified said original mod on top of which I add my own modifications. And everything stays separated and modular as much as possible. Sure it’s cluttered but everyone’s work is properly credited and separated. Yes it’s a tons of work, but who said that making a good modpack isn’t?

Otherwise people just reupload other people work and call it their own and could even get paid to do so. That’s why rules and respect is necessary in a community, otherwise it turns to a shitshow

I’m not telling you to cancel anything, I’m just saying that making a proper credit section is important, that’s all.

Also, do consider that some modders made their code from scratch, it’s their and GSC intellectual property.

Brother, do you think I care about ads when I have 470,000 people on my discord? The other user was referring to my project and how stupid was my comment compared to my project. I just bring facts about said project.

I most likely explained myself badly: modpacks are based on the work of others, and full proper credit should be given to each individual mod a modpack is based on.

Making a credit section stating that it's too much work to do a full list ain't gonna cut it.

Tbh I'm not speaking for myself, it's been a long time since I stopped caring about who uses my work, hence why I state on GAMMA project that all GAMMA mods (aka the ones clearly stating GAMMA in their name) are free to use as long as the source is cited. I'm talking about other people that might be annoyed by your not exhaustive credit section and the start of your project description that gives specific aspects of the modpack that are held by individual well known add-ons.

About my ballistic work since you were talking about it, the one on moddb is completely outdated and I cannot really recommend it, as stated in the mod page.

But tbh, it's not that important, it's just a game, the important is to have fun while respecting each other to have a good time.

I have only one thing to say to people like you: https://stalker-gamma.com/api/list (just click the link and enjoy a view of the gamma installation backend).

Can't be more exhaustive than this. Right clicking a mod in MO2 also allows you to visit each individual mod page directly from the modding interface. Not half of the modpacks on earth do this, independently of the game.

Also if you imply I didn't make anything myself, feel free to check the entire damage system that I remade (from all damage sources to the player, and from the player to NPCs), the whole economy that I rebalanced, etc (etc being the 4000+ commits on github over 2 years and about 100+ individual mods ranging from rebalancing the entire armor and helmet drop list of over 3200 NPC models, or the manual addition of over 3000 points of free loot spawn points on all maps, down to small individual bugfixes).

The start sounds like « I made all of this ». The end sounds like: « I was too lazy to make a proper credit section.»

That’s not how it should be…

You should *start* by the credits after the project description, and give the mod list and a link to each individual mod you used.

It’s a current limitation of the 3D Scopes Shaders mod. We are all waiting for the code to be fixed tbh. With this fixed, this will be a next level thing when it comes to sniping and using Scopes vs Red Dots.

The author decided to remove them because they are of low quality compared to his latest work.

I don’t know if he might improve them later, he didn’t tell me. If that’s the case I’ll of course remove these reuploads.

Grokitach - - 903 comments @ [DLTX] Logical Flashlight and Headlamp (GAMMA)

Doesn't that make the headlamp even stronger? The point was that headlamp can be used anytime even if your hands are full, but you can't see anything around you. Which is what glowsticks are made for... Hence if you want long range + good vision around you, you need both.

Handeld flashlight is a bit better than headlamp but is mostly a "starter item".

"Darkscape Vehicle Spawner" for instance. It is a re-branded script that I made for GAMMA. I don't mind that you share it on moddb to make it accessible to a broader audience, on the contrary. But just give the source explicitly, as written in GAMMA github Credits section. Crediting "Grokitach" isn't good because you can't be sure that I'm the only person that worked on it for instance ;) (in that case, I did though).

The vehicles type, coordinates, order + script logic are matching 1 to 1 to what I did for GAMMA: "https://github.com/Grokitach/Stalker_GAMMA/blob/main/G.A.M.M.A/modpack_addons/G.A.M.M.A. Vehicles in Darkscape/gamedata/scripts/grok_vehicles_spawner.script"

So rather just give this as a source. Much more accurate than just a name, also if I ever update it because it's found to cause an issue, people can fall back to the more updated version.

You need demonized_time_events.script if you want your addon to be standalone: Github.com

Also, yes, I remade 90% of the addon code and bugfixes compared to the original addon, so I guess you can credit me lol.

Very nice sounds but they are too quiet. The addon has sliders to set the sound volumes, so I think you could highly increase the sound volumes without being too annoying since people will be able to reduce the sound volume if they want.

"Seasoned modder" reason: Github.com. This should speak for itself I guess, I modified about every system in Anomaly and made many gameplay mechanics from scratch among other things.

Also I'm not sure what you are making a reference to? I'm not "******* with other mod creators". I'm actually helping a lot of people around and trying my best to improve the community. Considering the timing, I guess you talk about that **** mod about replacing stalker factions with real world factions involved in the Ukraine war and how I despise that kind of mod. Well, that's simply bad taste and that mod should be deleted before it heats up the Russian vs Ukrainian modders spirit. No political ******** in my stalker, thanks.

I’m glad you evolved in such a way and regret the things you did. It’s really for the better and I mean it. About EFP devs, I didn’t dragged them in here specifically (and I didn’t attack them), from the latest news I had you were against any form of modpack or soup so I was surprised that you were collaborating with EFPWP people that usually keep their stuff closed / not really wanting to share their assests or animations until it goes on moddb (if it ever goes on moddb, which is their call and their own right anyway, I respect that). I was thinking about what the « old » you could be orchestrating, since you got some modders banned from certain communities based on lies etc… Good luck with your new mods, I’m glad you evolved and I really hope that this is sincere. Cheers.

You became a meme because of your crazy behaviour (implying publicly and seriously that I paid Drewski to make a video about gamma, among other things). Not the best way to be remembered, but you are remembered indeed. You also insulted a lot of people in really harsh ways including modders you worked with for a really long time, so indeed you affected people but not for the good reasons. You are still mentioned because we are still surprised that you are still on your crusade. And simply because gamma server has a bot posting any new addon made public on moddb, simple as that, free undiscriminated publicity for anyone.

And actually I moved on: I removed my post after posting it, but you re enabled my comment and then typed this long answer. Then I chose to delete my post again but you re enabled it again. That’s why I am not commenting anything in moddb anymore: the comment section is twisted through the lens of the mod author that chooses what to delete or what re enable and he can’t be downvoted and only up voted.

Now about your addon going in gamma, I won’t do it because I have no interest to, but there’s nothing that prevents me from doing it since the installer grabs the addon from moddb like any other people visiting the page. And no law in the world could protect you from that since this is exactly how many softwares and dependencies are downloaded and installed daily by millions of users in so many different domains of application. And no, there’s no License that can protect you from that (from redistribution of your code, there’s though, but that’s not what the gamma installer is doing). But as I said, I have no interest in doing it and I’ll respect your choice.

But indeed, you didn’t affect the gamma development by one bit, which was the focus of my previous message. However you turned your answer like « but I affected you and that’s all that matters » which again shows that you are on a personal vendetta against me for no reason whatsoever since I always respected your choices, even removing an addon you were vaguely related to (but on which you didn’t work, another modder did all the work) 1 day before gamma 0.9 patch release. This took me 30 min to remove, so indeed you stole me 30 min of my modding time and that’s how you affected gamma development…

Official reason is that he hates modpacks in general. So he turned against gamma, and then into a personal vendetta against me for whatever reason. Since he’s on a personal vendetta now, he just work with people from other modpack projects (EFP for instance) and then deny his work on the gamma project to try to hinder it to affect me I guess? But honestly it has no effect whatsoever on gamma development that’s why it’s a bit silly and pointless but that remains his choice and I’ll respect it.
