Its both. The graphics are handled by Gamebryo while the gameplay mechanics and other stuff are a custom built engine by Bethesda.

He doesn't have "overly ambitious goals" he has IMPOSSIBLE goals. The devs of BC2 have made it clear, no mod tools.

All he would have to do is switch the engine to say the UDK and everyone would be happy. Anyone who is sane knows that this mod is and always has been vaporware (at least on its current engine).

Hmm, I like the basic idea of the mod. It seems like a "hardcore" mode that also improves the combat. But also includes cool mods like the variation pack and better sounds.

In short: Me like. Will probably alternate between this and CoP Complete.

I have begun to doubt the intelligence of most of MW's avid fans...

Mine totally screwed up windows and any browser I downloaded it on. It was like a major lag because if I would leave the browser running it would finish eventually and stop giving me the generic "This program is not responding". When I ran the installer it would do the same thing and actually lock up explorer.exe. And NO, I don't have a sucky computer.

Did anyone else have this issue?

Lurk seeks to improve the STALKER world. SC09 seeks to rebuild the STALKER world.

Oh, and currently SC09 IS the best option for most people, as the only Lurk release is a beta. That being said I can't wait for LURK 1.1
